Wide-Area Progressive (WAP)
A wide-area progressive is a large jackpot that is competed for between several casinos. These are typically the huge amounts, in the several hundred-thousand or millions of dollars. Slot manufacturers typically pay out the wide-area progressive wins instead of the casino.
